For the record, my computer is an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) with a 3.6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 processor, and 32 GB of memory. ![]() So I wrote to the developer a second time and asked them why they had dropped support for pre-M1 chip iMacs?. Then I noticed this in the info section: "Requires macOS 11 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip." Of course, I wanted to download it, in the hope that the newer version would allow me to use. ![]() Well, today I revisited their app in the App Store, and I saw that the server had been updated to version 2.3.4 - I am currently on 2.3.0-beta1u1 - about a year ago. If so, I don't know what that is, because they never responded to me. Either that, or there is something I need to do to make the iOS app aware of. Today, two years later, I have written to them again, asking them the same question, being as they apparently still have not added. The popularity of these devices, however, has resulted in many questions about how to use and communicate the sensor data that is collected during monitoring. With increased availability of air sensors, thousands are now in use by individuals, community groups, health organizations and others. Air sensors are usually lower in cost, portable, and generally easier to operate than the regulatory-grade air pollution monitors used in the United States to understand air quality conditions. Many people are looking for credible air quality information to help reduce the risk from air pollution and to protect public health in their communities. The videos can be used to learn how the Agency collects and uses air quality data, how air quality health risks are communicated and how to interpret data collected using air sensors. EPA has developed an air sensors educational video series, both in English and Spanish. ![]()
